Chicago House AC Announces Partnership With Chicago Center for Orthopedics at Weiss Memorial Hospital

CHICAGO, IL (August 17th, 2021) – Chicago House Athletic Club, Chicago’s new professional independent soccer club, today announced a major partnership with the Chicago Center for Orthopedics at Weiss Memorial Hospital.

Weiss becomes the Official Healthcare and Orthopedic Partner of Chicago House Athletic Club and will support the team and its players with all of its healthcare and orthopedic needs as the club embarks on its inaugural season in the National Independent Soccer Association. Chicago House AC’s inaugural home match is this Saturday, August 21st, 2021 at 7:35pm at SeatGeek Stadium.

Leading the Weiss medical team that will be taking care of the new Chicago soccer team, is eminent orthopedic surgeon Dr. Sebastian Ko, M.D. Dr. Ko is a former NCAA Division I athlete with a strong interest in the treatment of athletic injuries. His experience includes treating elite athletes while serving as the assistant team physician for the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, and Rockford IceHogs professional sports teams, and the Northwestern Division I collegiate football team.

As an official presenting partner of Chicago House AC, the Weiss Memorial Hospital logo will be featured on the club’s kit, on the players' shorts, throughout the season.

Chicago’s inaugural NISA Fall 2021 Season includes nine home match ups at SeatGeek Stadium starting with New Amsterdam (8/21) and Detroit City FC (8/29) followed by LA Force (9/17), Michigan Stars (9/24), San Diego 1904 FC (10/9), Chattanooga (Wed, 10/13), Maryland (10/23), Stumptown AC (11/13) and Cal United (10/20).

ABOUT Dr. Sebastian Ko. M.D.

Sebastian Ko, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive techniques of the shoulder, knee, and hip, including shoulder replacements and hip arthroscopy. Dr. Ko’s practice philosophy emphasizes patient-centered care. He is dedicated to the successful diagnosis of each patient’s orthopedic concern and develops individualized treatment plans that include both non-surgical and surgical options.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Ko completed medical school and his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of British Columbia. After residency, he completed a clinical fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Northwestern Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University. He is dual board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).
