CHICAGO, IL (May 14th, 2021) – Chicago House Athletic Club, Chicago’s newest professional soccer team announced the signing of Elmhurst University product, Keegan Thompson.

“We are excited to have Keegan join our club! I feel the fans will enjoy his energy up and down the wide areas, taking players on 1v1,” says Chicago House AC Head Coach & Technical Director, C.J. Brown. “A player that will do whatever it takes to prove himself, and is very humble in the process. I feel we are just the platform he will need to get that next big opportunity.”

Thompson played collegiate soccer in the NCAA Division III College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) for Elmhurst University from 2015-2019. He served as a two-year captain during his time as a Bluejay, where he led the team in goals, assists and points (eight goals, seven assists, 23 points) in 2019. Thompson led the conference in chances created and finished fourth in goals scored, third in assists, and third in total points. This earned him CCIW First Team All-Conference honors, in addition to being named a 2019 CCIW Offensive Player of the Week during the same season.

Thompson’s full Elmhurst University career included 65 total appearances, 44 starts, 13 goals and 12 assists. Thompson got it done in the classroom too, as a four-time CCIW Academic All-Conference member.

In addition to his collegiate career at Elmhurst University, Thompson saw time with Milwaukee Bavarians U23/UPSL in 2018-2019, making 10 appearances and scoring five goals and three assists, while taking 2nd Place in the Illinois U23 State cup. From 2015-2017 Thompson played for Madison 56ers PLA.

“Playing college soccer in Chicago at Elmhurst [University], this team is the perfect place to begin my career,” says the newest member of Chicago House AC’s inaugural team, Keegan Thompson. “I know how much soccer means to the Chicago community and want to help build a fantastic culture that the city can get behind! The vision that C.J. [Brown,] Peter [Wilt] and the whole staff has is special and I'm thankful to be a part of it. I remember watching games at SeatGeak Stadium when I was younger, so to be able to fulfill my dream and play in this great stadium in front of the fans is a dream come true.”

Keegan Thompson officially becomes the second player signed in Chicago House AC history, pending registration approval from NISA and USSF.
